About The Name
So Blessed

Today's Date 06/05/2005
As we prayed for many days about the name which really
says just how we feel. I had been lead to "Blessed". As I discussed
this with Allyson I said I feel like it should be something with Blessed because
we are blessed, her response was "So Blessed" and so it was for we are So
Blessed. We hope you are also blessed by our effort to share Gods love
with you through the Blessings He bestows upon us. For we also receive a
blessing each time we step up on the stage as we seek to glorify God.
According to Easton’s Bible Dictionary these are the
definitions of “BLESS”:
(1.) God blesses his people when he bestows on them some
gift temporal or spiritual (Gen. 1:22; 24:35; Job 42:12; Ps. 45:2; 104:24, 35).
(2.) We bless God when we thank him for his mercies (Ps.
103:1, 2; 145:1, 2).
(3.) A man blesses himself when he invokes God's blessing (Isa.
65:16), or rejoices in God's goodness to him (Deut. 29:19; Ps. 49:18).
(4.) One blesses another when he expresses good wishes or
offers prayer to God for his welfare Gen. 24:60; 31:55; 1 Sam. 2:20…
(5.) Among the Jews in their thank-offerings the master of
the feast took a cup of wine in his hand, and after having blessed God for it
and for other mercies then enjoyed, handed it to his guests, who all partook of
it. Ps. 116:13 refers to this custom. It is also alluded to in 1 Cor.
10:16, where the apostle speaks of the "cup of blessing."
Our Response:
God has blessed us with a gift of song and desire to serve
Him. We strive to thank Him for His mercies, but can never seem to thank Him
enough. As we rejoice in God’s goodness to us and our families, we pray for
others and wish them well. And, most importantly, we partake in the cup of
Blessing of Salvation and hope you will too.
So we chose the name “So Blessed” to be called by in our
service to the Lord Jesus Christ.
